BEADS: Vintage Arikamedu Dark Red FAT Disks C. 1985 For Sale

These vintage Arikamedu dark red fat disks are a beautiful addition to any collection. The style used to make these is to wrap hot flamed glass around a metal rod on which a black release has been affixed. The black cores to these and examination of the lampwound technique all point to their having been made in Arikamedu (Pete Francis). Originating from Southern India in the 1980s, these beads are a deep, rich red with no pink or orange tone. - a rare find. The deep red color adds a pop of vibrancy to any design, or just to collect as a piece of history. Perfect for those interested in collectibles and beads, these beads are a must-have.
