All the Cats, Frogs, Rabbits, and Dachshunds are cast from Redl Factory moulds from Austria. When Mr. Redl Senior died, he left them to his son Ludwig. Ludwig Redl brought them to the USA to cast them here in Santa Barbara, CA. Ludwig is a famous sculptor and professor who taught atUC Santa Barbara. To notcompete with Austria's Vienna Bronze Industry,Fully Cold Cast Hand Painted. The sale of Redl Factory Molds agreement from Ludwig Redl to Heirloom Editions Ltd (HE) to only Partially Cold Cast Paint, to patina the bodies and hand paint the musical instruments, ornaments such as flowers, feet, and hands, making them more affordable. The patina gives a rich brown/bronze tone. The thimble holders are exclusive to Heirloom Editions Ltd. Only, and HE closed its factory in 2004.

The (HE) Redl Bronze figurines have been in storage for the last 20 + years; they are used products or old inventory in excellent condition and look brand new. Limited to supply on hand as these bronze sculptures are no longer manufactured.
