This original 1940's vintage untitled print is by Billy DeVorss. Billy DeVorss (1908-1985) was an informally trained American painter of pin-up girls. He is known for using daring blends of colors, flowing, graceful lines and his large Art Deco-inspired signature.
The image features a sexy cowgirl in boots and spurs. It measures 10" x 13" in overall size and 9" x 12" in image size. It comes from an uncirculated calendar top and then stored away. The colors are sharp and bright, and it is in excellent condition.
Chuck Olson Collection
Chuck Olson spent over 40 years collecting and traveling the United States in search of unique vintage prints. He was especially interested in prints that were printed for use on calendars in the "Age of the Calendar" from 1900-1960. Chuck amassed a collection of well over 10,000 framed and unframed prints before his death. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the item.
