The canopic boxes of the Sons of Horus are important artifacts from ancient Egyptian civilization. These carved stone boxes were used to store body parts of the deceased during the mummification process.
Description of canopy boxes:- There were four canopic chests for each deceased, each dedicated to one of the four sons of Horus.- The boxes are made of limestone or granite stone carved with extreme precision.- Each box has a lid shaped like the head of one of the four sons of Horus: Imste, Hapi, Duamutef, and Qebhasanov.The boxes were decorated with delicate engravings and decorations, such as hieroglyphs and wall pictures.- The decorations depict religious scenes and funerary rituals in ancient Egyptian civilization.Boxes were placed inside twin Pharaonic tombs to store separate body parts.
