Vintage Carl Deffner Esslingen Silver Plated Cocktail Shaker Germany **AS-IS**This vintageDeffner Karl Ulrich silver plated cobbler style cocktail shaker will make a great restoration project or gap filler in your collection until you find one in mint condition. It features an all-over hammered style metal surface on the cup and strainer with a contrasting smooth lid cap finish on the strainer lid. Sadly, it is in HEAVILY used condition with wear and damage including plating loss, dents, scratches, verdigris and MORE so PLEASEread complete details below and review photos closely for condition. • Approximate weight is 11 ozs total
• Measures approximately 3.5" x 3.5" x 6.25" tall
• Condition: In AS-IS vintage pre-owned used condition with heavy wear and damage including surface plating loss over most of the outside of the cup and on the inside bottom of the cup, there is a dent on the lower bottom edge of the cup in addition to one on the top edge of the strainer rim and on the top cap/lid, there are significant areas of plating loss with patches of textured verdigris, there is heavy wear to the silver plated finish on all pieces with areas of base metal showing through the finish, there are heavy scratches/scuffing/dents/dings on all components, stains, scratches, fine abrasions, scuffing, dents, dings, dirt, dust, grime, dulling, patina, tarnish, pitting, dimpling, discoloring, rough edges/details, dark spots/patches, the inside strainer is dented, and overall wear from age and handling. Surprisingly, the shaker is still functional in that it does not leak when I tested it out with water several times. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE OK WITH THE CONDITION BEFFORE PURCHASING. • Marks: The bottom of the cup is marked with the CED makers mark surrounded by "1/2" and "63". The strainer is also marked 63 near the holes.
