Vintage Conestoga Mill And Paoli Inn Remembrance Playing Cards Springer Spaniel.

Nice advertising deck of cards in original box. Advertising piece for the Conestoga Mill and Paoli Inn Restaurant and Bar, in Bryn Mawr, PA. There is a Cocker Spaniel puppy on the back of the deck, with red paint on his nose from sniffing the wet paint on a fire hydrant. The artwork is by Albert Staehle, and is titled “Doggone, Wet Paint”. Staehle had a series of paintings using his cocker spaniel Butch. This deck of cards includes two Joker cards and comes in the original box. The lower right corner of the box has an old grease stain on it, but does not appear to have bled through to any of the cards. Remembrance cards were made by Brown and Bigelow.
