Description Up for sale is a vintage Guerlain Mitsouko Perfume which based on its height and Pouchet et du Coural Mark is 2.5 fl oz.  This bottle model has been used from 1912 to the present, so it is a very iconic presentation.  Its stopper is also referenced as the inverted heart.  Mitsouko was introduced by Jacques Guerlain in 1919.  It is a fruity chypre and has been reformulated several times.  I was surprised to find this was a favorite fragrance of Charlie Chaplin and Jean Harlow.  I am also including a worn Guerlain box that I “married” to this bottle.
 
Mitsouko was developed by Jacques Guerlain and was introduced in 1919--- over 100 years ago.  This fragrance uses the following ingredients:  bergamot, peach, jasmine, may rose, spices like cinnamon, oak moss vetiver and wood.  The formula has been "tweaked" over the years.  Since stopper is frozen, fragrance may still be fine, it has been packed away in a dark closet for over 20 years.
 
I believe the fragrance should still be fine, but it has probably deteriorated some.

• The condition of the bottle and stopper is excellent considering its age.
  • The green Guerlain label includes wording which says at the end of the green paper label:   “legislation en viguer”.  This wording and the label indicate this bottle was probably made in France in the 1960’s until 1967.
  • The glass on this bottle is very silky and that is one of the characteristic of good crystal made by Pochet du Corval.
  • The height of this bottle is 4 1/2 inches tall, which makes the size of this bottle 2 ½ Fl Oz or 75 ML.
  • The underside of the bottle has GUERLAIN embossed at the top and Made in France at the bottom, underneath the greenish paper label.
• The round paper label on this bottle is in beautiful condition.
• The inverted glass stopper is frozen on this bottle, which means I cannot open it.  Plus the bottle is still sealed with the cording and Guerlain metal sticker used at the factory.  However, I do not see any onion skin on the neck. 
  • Because the bottle still appears to be relatively full, it may never have been opened, I don’t know.
  • Although I cannot see the stopper 100%, I believe the stopper end could be plastic, because of the look in the glass neck, and they moved to plastic on stopper ends in the 1960’s. 
  • I don’t know what condition the fragrance is in since the stopper is frozen.  However, I have never smelled a bad Guerlain fragrance.
  • Height of the perfume bottle is roughly: 4 1/2 inches tall.

 

• Note:  since I had an old guerlain box that fit this bottle, I am including it with the bottle, you can keep it or throw it out.  Box is not in good condition but will still safely help protect the bottle in shipping.  See last 2 photos.
