Something Doing Arts vases are created by Robert Sweeney, a Colorado wood artesian who has been a proud member of the American Association of Woodturners for years. His vases are extraordinary and easily recognizably as his work. All works are signed and have a label on the bottom saying handmade in Colorado. But in this instance the previous owner took that label off. Please refer to the picture of the bottom of the vase and you will see a white dot. That is where the label was at some point.
Please note the age of this vase is vintage. When I bought this piece from the previous owner they advised me it was at least thirty years old. The vase does have some cracks at the top. Created on a lathe the turned wood have color in the form of mineral pigments are added to the natural cracks and inclusions in the wood. This adds beauty and strength.
