Vintage Kokeshi doll, entitled "Tsuioku(追憶),” which translates to "Reminiscence" in English.

This piece was masterfully crafted by the renowned artist, Yamanaka Sanpei (1926-2012).

Yamanaka Sanpei was a distinguished figure in the Kokeshi community, earning over 20 awards for his exquisite work, including the prestigious “Prime Minister Award” in 1979.

His Kokeshi dolls are celebrated for capturing the innocence and wonder of children and their view of the world.
