Up for your consideration is a high condition non-excavated model 1842 Springfield musket tool with two screw driver blades & a box-end nipple wrench. It has a clear “US” stamped on the neck.This was originally designed for the 1841 Mississippi rifle. It has a beautiful untouched dark patina with what looks like much of the original blued finish left. There is some fine surface rust but I believe that most of what you see on the surface is just crud & dried oil that should clean up nicely if need be. It measures approx 3 5/8\" long.
