(CELEBRATING 27 YEARS ON !) The pair of license plates are in mint condition. The original paper is still partially attached to the plates. I left it on, so you could see it to show that they are mint. Light effort would be needed to remove the rest. Probably just to soak them in cold water would get the rest off. You can use your fingers to peel it off some more, but I'm sure it would be easier just to soke in cold water for a few minutes. There is no wear on the plates & what you see on the back areas is the paper still stuck to the plates..
