This a rare Knights of Pythias gold filled pendant with a Victorian hair jewelry watch fob.Gold filled pendant has enamel initials FBC and gold plated small plaque has K.XXV P. at the bottom of the pendant it reads Pythian VeteranThe reverse side of the pendant is engraved 1892-1924 Wm H Richmond by Golden Rule Lodge #45 K of PSupreme Lodge VBThe woven hair fob measures 13 inches in length. The Knights of Pythias is a fraternal organization and secret society founded in Washington, D.C., on 19 February 1864. This was the first fraternal organization to receive a charter under an act of the United States Congress. It was founded by Justus H. Rathbone, who had been inspired by a play by the Irish poet John Banim about the legend of Damon and Pythias.
