This makes the pen very shiny and reflective and with very nice feel in the hand and great grip. The Parker 75 model is probably one of the most famous and reliable Parker pens ever made. Very precise cap on body fit, with a deep cap pull and a perfect clean "click" sound when closing. The 75 model is one of the all time best looking and highest quality pens. The pen is in absolute great condition, no gold wear off, no scratches no dings or any cosmetic issues. The nib is huge, solid 14K gold with F, fine tip.Origins and Design
• The Creators: Commissioned by company president Kenneth Parker (son of founder George S. Parker) and designed by industrial designer Don Doman.
• The Concept: Named the "75" for the company's diamond jubilee, it was conceived as a high-end, modern trendsetter—being one of the first mass-market pens to feature a precious metal base configuration rather than a plain plastic or resin body.
• The Pattern: "Ciselé" (French for "chiseled") refers to the signature deep-cut, square guilloche crosshatch or grid pattern etched into the 0.925 sterling silver body (comprising 97.5% silver and 2.5% copper) accented with gold-filled trim.Historical Significance• A Savior for the Brand: Released during the 1960s when traditional fountain pens faced declining popularity due to the rise of ballpoints, the Parker 75 became a massive commercial success and helped the company survive a difficult market era.
• State Occasions: The Parker 75 Ciselé and its variants gained diplomatic fame. Editions of the pen were famously used by U.S. Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush alongside Soviet leaders Mikhail Gorbachev and Boris Yeltsin to sign major nuclear disarmament treaties.
