Chinese Shiwan-style hexagonal pottery ginger jar featuring a turquoise-green glaze with molded relief decoration.
The six-sided body features individual raised panels with floral, botanical and figural/animal motifs, along with a decorative molded border around the shoulder. The lower body, base and area surrounding the opening are unglazed, exposing the coarse buff-colored clay body.
The piece has a wonderfully rustic, time-worn appearance with glaze crazing, surface wear, glaze loss, small chips and other irregularities throughout. Please review all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the description and show the condition in detail.
