We DO love our Huckleberry Bey, Salinero and Totilas models. But those clear plastic bases that come with them… not so much. Summer heat, the model leans, peg snaps off in the hoof. Try to gently remove the base, peg snaps off in the hoof. Domino stampede caused by inquisitive cat, peg snaps… you get it. Now your $150 model is in danger of scuffs and scratching as he leans propped against the wall (not to mention he loses some of his former glory). If you’re like me, you’ve purchased some gorgeous pricey metal replacement stands. My source quit making them as they were not cost-efficient. So needing a few dozen myself (Especially after last Breyerfest’s Seize the Day Surprise that added ten more to the conga..) I sought a means for replacement, no frills metal bases. My whole goal in this endeavor was to provide myself and my fellow collectors with an affordable sturdy means of protecting our prized plastic ponies. Purchase price is for TEN stands.

Husband and I fix the above mentioned peg problem by holding model in the air and inserting the end of a heated paperclip into the peg. Do not insert it too far. Allow it to cool and harden a moment before gently pulling the paper clip. Now I don’t want to hear cryin and bellyachin if you push the paperclip thru the hoof and out the other side, drop your model or the leg breaks off. I’m just telling you how WE fix the problem.
