This beautiful Herkimer Diamond Quartz cluster is from The Herkimer Diamond Mine KOA Resort in Middleville, New York!
It is a 2.35 inch long cluster which is comprised primarily of 3 crystals with several smaller gems as well as a piece of calcite attached. The largest crystal has excellent clarity with light, wispy smoky phantoms. The other crystals have some internal fractures resulting in some cloudy areas and gorgeous internal rainbows. There are areas of host rock contact on the back side and two of the smaller crystals have a chipped termination, but this is a beautiful specimen overall.
As with most Herkimer Diamond clusters of this size, some reconstruction was required to prepare it.Mined by hand in the Spring of 2025.
