​Iwachu (岩鋳): The maker's mark stamped in the rectangular box (岩鋳) identifies the renowned Iwachu Casting Works in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. Iwachu is one of the premier producers of traditional Nambu Tekki (Nanbu ironware).
​Teavana Connection: The bottom of the trivet/stand explicitly features the Teavana logo alongside the Iwachu stamp. During the 2000s up until Starbucks closed Teavana's brick-and-mortar stores in 2017, Teavana commissioned custom-branded, high-end cast iron sets directly from Iwachu for retail sale in North America.
