Know all men, by these presents, that we, James L. Dunn, as principal, & Lucius M. Sargent, as surety, both of the city of Boston, stand jointly & severally bound & firmly by these presents, to the President & Managers of the Massachusetts Charitable Eye & Ear Infirmary in the full & just sum of five thousand dollars to the payment of which sum we bind ourselves & our heirs, executors & administrators respectively, firmly by these presents: dated this seventh day of March A.D. 1827.
The condition of the above bond is such, that if the said James L. Dunn shall well & truly account to the said President & Managers on the last Thursday in October next, for all monies, certificates & other property, belonging to said Infirmary, received by him the said James, as Treasurer thereof, & hand over to said President & Managers, on their demand, all money & property to which they may then be entitled, according to a memorandum or schedule, then this obligation shall be void, otherwise shall remain valid and in full force.
