The documents are identical receipts signed by Mary Finney for the $114.86 payment received from George Hart, executor of the will of John J Finney. Hopefully a diligent historian can find out some additional info on this lot! Quality stock, generally clean, legible and attractive. Each receipt has an orange two cent US Internal Revenue stamp as required to help finance the cost of the Civil War (R15), one stamp has damage.. Display very well.
