This Tunisian produced example shows all of the typical details that you would find on a locally manufactured example - as opposed to the French made examples that are also on the market. The cipher in the center of this order dates it to the reign of Ali Bey, first ruler of the French protectorate of Tunisia, who ruled from 1882 until 1902. Enamel shows typical quality and wear of Tunisian produced examples, with some unevenness to the texture and light pitting. A Tunisian hallmark is located on the reverse of the order. Original neck ribbon with in-tact ties for wear.
