18th/early 19th c. Antique Pewter Oval platter with wavy serpentine rim no marks For Sale

Antique 18th-early 19th century oval pewter serving platter with a plain scallop rim, no reeding, or raised ridges. The dish weighs about 2 lbs. Measurements are 12-1/2" by 9-1/2". There are no touch marks, no visible stamps or symbols on the bottom or rim. There is a nice historical patina,and there are some significant but not very deep knife scratches strongly suggesting this is an authentic, utilitarian piece meant for daily use. When knocked by a knuckle, the dish makes a deep sound, neither dead or bell-like.
