Original August 29, 1907 Ohio Carriage Manufacturing Co. correspondence measuring approximately 8.5 x 11 inches. The elaborate illustrated LETTERHEAD advertises the company as manufacturers of “Split Hickory Vehicles & Harness” in Cincinnati, Ohio, with factories on Plum and Stark Streets and offices and salesroom on West Third Street.
The typed letter is addressed to Miss Lizzie Kinder of Rural Retreat, VA. It concerns a buggy she had received from the company. Kinder apparently wrote to report that the buggy arrived without a silver dash rail on the dash. The company explains that this was an oversight by an employee and states that a replacement would be sent separately, adding that they hoped this would make everything satisfactory.
