On offer here is an ORIGINAL POLICE BOOKING CARD FROM 1912 OF A CHINESE MAN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION W/ SHOOTING OF ANOTHER CHINESE MAN. We suspect this related to the Tong Wars in the Oakland & San Francisco area. The booking card also indicates he was a 'highbinder' (aka hitman or assassin)
The30 y/o man(approximate; booking officer guessed age likely due to a language barrier) named 'Ong Dow'whose occupation is indicated as 'laundryman', was apprehended running away from the scene of the shooting of another Chinese man. Its possible with additional research more information may appear in the local newspapers or perhaps in a located police report.
The card measures 6.0 in x 5.5 in and is in very good condition as shown. It has an original photograph applied to the card and typed details on the card verso.
