Rare NOS antique Pears’ Soap advertising presentation box containing five individually wrapped bars of soap. The long wooden box features colorful lithographed paper labels with the Pears’ Soap name and an attractive period image of a woman holding flowers. The individual wrappers repeat the same artwork and the advertising slogan “Matchless for the Complexion.”
The wooden box measures approximately 10½ inches long based on the ruler shown in the photographs. It has dovetailed corner construction and retains its decorated lid and front label.
The set shows considerable age-related wear, including discoloration, fading, staining, scratches, edge wear, paper loss, lifting labels, and general wear to the wooden box. The soap has not been opened or tested and is offered strictly as a collectible advertising item—not for personal use.
An unusual survivor and appealing display piece for collectors of antique soap, toiletries, beauty products, general-store advertising, or vintage packaging.
