A scarce and attractive early 20th-century advertising invite and salesman sample sheet from F.E. Mason & Sons of Batavia, New York, identified on the piece as one of the largest manufacturers of embossed seals. The sheet measures approximately 7.5 x 8.5 inches, making it a compact but visually engaging example of period printing and promotional design.

This piece functions as both an advertisement and customer invitation, encouraging recipients to draw a rough sketch of a desired seal and return it for a free quote. It retains several original sample elements: a large die-cut illustrated sticker at upper right (firmly attached as issued) featuring a colonial-style figure with the caption “Draw a rough sketch!”, along with mounted sample labels including a “Joseph Horne Co Tea Room, Pittsburgh” example.

At lower right is the original small glassine-style envelope, still attached to the sheet. Inside are additional embossed sample labels, now stuck together but not adhered to the paper, indicating they remain loose original contents from the sample kit. The reverse shows adhesive residue and mounting remnants where additional samples were once affixed, consistent with its use as a working sales sample.

Condition shows expected age and handling: toning, adhesive residue, and wear from use, but overall a very presentable and uncommon survival—especially with the envelope and internal samples still present.

A desirable piece of early 20th-century printing, advertising, and promotional ephemera combining graphic appeal with a clear commercial purpose.

Authentic period piece related to family, historyor local heritage - well-suited for historical collections, genealogical /genealogy research, or museum acquisition.Vintage or Antique.
