1925 ACORN= OAKLAND-NEBRASKA HI School YEAR BOOK Quality Work 37p. 12\'x9\" PpdUSI am impressed with the quality of the writing in the students activity! The inside is in remarkably nice condition which is controlled by the printer (who did a great job) but also the fact that either the signing by student friends may not have been the style at this time or the owner/student was not able to exchange comments like we do nowadays. The dark gray cover is slightly oversized which leaves the edge at risk and this one has some fraying along those edges. The cover has come mostly loose but the first page is still attached. Still overall condition for this 100+ year old yearbook is above average. The cover measures 12+\" by 9\" I read that the city of Oakland had a high percentage of Swedish heritage an perhaps it was passed down that education was to be a high priority and that gave this book/project was taken very seriously. This 1925 copy is oldest copy of the Acorn I have found in my research!
