This is an original Imperial Japanese Army commemorative sake cup dating to 1931 (Showa 6).
Around the rim, the following inscription is clearly written in Japanese:
“Showa 6 – Imperial Japanese Army Special Grand Maneuvers”
■ What were the 1931 Army Special Grand Maneuvers?
