This is an original 1931 Pennsylvania Railroad calendar featuring the iconic artwork "Giant Conquerors of Space and Time" by renowned railway artist Grif Teller.The painting depicts a powerful steam locomotive racing alongside a Ford Tri-Motor airplane (marked Maddux Air Lines), symbolizing the pinnacle of 1930s travel technology.Includes the partial original monthly calendar grids for December 1930, January 1931, and February 1931 at the bottom.This large print is framed. However instead of glass it has a plastic cover on it. Shows some holes and damage which tends to be the norm for this piece. It will display great and be a large statement piece. Great to pair with a model train or railroad collection. It will ship flat in the frame. I will make no attempts to remove or roll it. Measures a little more than 32" x 32".
