Historical Interest
The Century of Progress International Exposition was held in Chicago in 1933 and 1934 and celebrated technological progress and the future. Millions of visitors came to Chicago for the exposition, creating a huge market for hotels, transportation companies, restaurants and sightseeing tours.
This brochure provides a fascinating look at how a World’s Fair visitor could have planned and purchased an entire Chicago vacation nearly 90 years ago.
The brochure also includes a period map showing major Chicago locations, including the downtown Loop, Lake Michigan, Grant Park, Lincoln Park, Michigan Avenue and the Century of Progress grounds.
Condition
Original vintage condition.
The brochure shows substantial signs of age and handling, including:
