1936 Ford Retail Salesman\'s Work Organizer by Union Steel Chest Corp.
Original prewar Ford Retail Salesman\'s Work Organizer, manufactured by Union Steel Chest Corp. of Le Roy, New York.
Dating to 1936, this heavy steel two-drawer organizer was designed specifically for use by Ford retail salesmen. The original instruction label remains on the top and is headed “Ford Retail Salesman\'s Work Organizer,” with numbered instructions explaining how the salesman was intended to organize and maintain his working files.
The original Union Steel Chest Corp. manufacturer\'s label also remains on the rear, identifying the maker and Le Roy, New York location.
A particularly interesting survivor of 1930s Ford dealership and sales history. Rather than being advertising intended for customers, this was practical working equipment created for the people actually selling Ford automobiles.
