She appears as Emlen Knight Davies, daughter of former Ambassador Joseph Davies, who wrote the book. With Richard Travis, Miss Parker plays the true-to-life romance which is shown briefly in the film: that of Miss Davies and Robert Grosjean, Belgian military attaché, who met in Moscow and later were married.
Grosjean is now in the United States Army.
