1944 Victorinox 200 R Stainless Steel Private Model 1908 Pattern Knife – Factory “P” MarkOffered here is a very well preserved vintage Victorinox No. 200 R, the civilian/private stainless-steel version based on the Swiss Model 1908 Soldier pattern.The main blade is clearly date stamped “44” for 1944 and carries a clean, precisely applied “P” (Privat) marking. This style of regular factory P marking is associated with civilian/private production rather than the later hand-applied markings sometimes found on former military-issued knives.This example is consistent with the Victorinox 200 R stainless-steel variant. The blade, tools and visible internal steel surfaces remain bright and clean, with no rust observed.Mechanical condition is excellent.There is no noticeable blade or tool play. All tools open and close correctly with a strong, positive snap.The main blade retains a full profile with an intact tip. The reddish-brown fibre scales are especially well preserved for a knife dating from 1944, with only normal light scratches, handling marks and age-related wear.The blade does show fine surface scratches consistent with vintage use and age.
