Vintage Heidenheimer’s department store advertising sign promoting a Clearance sale on Golf & Fishing Caps, priced at $1.00 each. The sign measures approximately 7 × 11 inches and is printed on heavy cardboard display stock typical of mid-century in-store retail advertising.
The piece was silkscreen (screen) printed, a common printing method used for short-run store signage. The red and blue inks were applied in separate passes through a screen, producing the strong solid color fields and slightly textured ink appearance visible in the lettering and price graphics.
