The Bottom Line was opened by Allan Pepper and Stanley Snadowsky in 1974 and became one of New York’s best-known intimate music venues, hosting performers including Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed, The Ramones, Prince, Miles Davis, Billy Joel, Van Morrison and many others.
Printed on both sides, with one side advertising imported wine or Yago Sangria by the glass for $1.50, and the other listing Bordeaux, Beaujolais, Pinot Chardonnay, Rosé and Liebfraumilch at $7.50 per bottle. Both sides also advertise a “Continental Platter for Two” for $12.95. The heading reads “Allan Pepper & Stanley Snadowsky Present The Bottom Line.”
Likely 1970s to early 1980s, based on the design, pricing and venue history. An unusual surviving piece of original in-house ephemera from one of New York’s important music clubs.
