This is an original press photo. The weather is still breathlessly hot, but it's football season in the East Jefferson High School stadium. Under a scorching sun, this year's Warriors bash against each other like young rams, while up in the grandstand, two groups of girls, the drill, and dance teams, stand on the bench-like seats and step through carefully choreographed routines. In the absence of the Warrior Band, each girls' group uses the accompaniment of a scratchy, nearly inaudible tape recording of its repertoire. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
