1980’s *RARE* SEARS Old Fashion Candy Bar Wrapper Nabisco Chocolate Original Mock-ups MAN.

This is a design board of three vintage design concepts or variations for Sears "Old Fashioned Milk Chocolate" bar wrappers.

These likely represent design drafts from the mid-20th century when Sears, Roebuck and Co. operated its own in-store candy departments.

Historical Context:

The Sears Candy Counter: Sears opened its first dedicated candy counters in the 1950s. For roughly 40 years, much of the candy sold there was supplied by Arway Confections, a Chicago-based company founded in 1950.

Private Label Strategy: Sears frequently branded products under its own name.

While many people remember buying candy by the pound (like chocolate-covered raisins or peanuts), Sears also offered its own branded chocolate bars.

Design Evolution: The three wrappers displayed here show distinct aesthetic styles:

Top: A minimalist, bold orange design with slanted typography.

Middle: A colorful, psychedelic "mod" style typical of the late 1960s or 1970s.

Bottom: A classic, Art Deco-influenced design with ornate yellow motifs.
