SPIDER-MAN 2017 PMG GREEN MISSING SERIAL NUMBER VARIATION

Up for offer here is an obscenely rare 2017 Ultra PMG Green card. I will be listing a handful of them each up as a separate listing. True pack inserted PMG Greens are stamped on back out of just 10 made. This is a missing serial number variation - likely sheet cut and to date these are the first to ever come to market. Unknown on how many exist but very possibly just the one example. Possibly more than one exists, but even then unknown if/when any others will ever eventually come to market, and even then likely no more than 2-3 of each exist if at all. Every aspect of the card is identical to the true pack-inserted PMG - brilliant green foil, factory stamped and finished to completeness, just missing the serial number. Small edge mark on the top of this one, I would peg it in the EXMT+ range, maybe NM if I was grading on a curve. As these are proof issues, BGS typically labels such cards as "Authentic" to document that the card was manufactured by Fleer but is missing the serial number. A cool opportunity that you may not ever have again! Also a great chance to put a nearly-as-good placeholder in that impossible to achieve Green PMG set.

This listing is for the card shown from the inaugural Spider-Man 2017 Ultra Precious Metal Gems set. An important set - this was the first of the re-imagined Ultra PMG's from the Spider-Man issues. The Green PMG's have taken on mythical lore with the biggest (Kobe Bryant 97 PMG Green) selling privately for $2 million. Star players such as Barry Sanders have sold for a much more economical $370,000. Even missing serial number PMG greens from stars have fetched in the $10-15K range, and late 90s football was known to have several that made it out. In this inaugural set I think the manufacturer played it much tighter and I anticipate fewer exist making these the next best thing to the impossible to find #/10 pack inserted card, and of a universally popular subject in the biggest Marvel cards. Great for a set collector who wants to fill in a gap, or perhaps better for the collector who has to have one of everything! This may be the only one ever found missing the serial.
