Vintage Chinese Black Mirror GOLD GILT Porcelain Temple Vase HAND PAINTED/CARVED

24.25\" high with a 7.25\" opening at top, bottom diameter of base is 7\". Circumference at widest point around middle is 33\" around.

Outstanding, unique, Gallery quality vase which was most likely a Temple Urn Jar. There are hand carved details in the Black Mirror glaze such as geometric patterning at center, and amorphous shapes throughout top and base.

Black Mirror finish is glossy and smooth, with 2 stipple-finish [matte] gold bands.

Bands contain hand carved relief figures of men on chariots in traditional warrior costuming. There are also yin/yang discs in the sky.

Excellent vintage condition- No flaws or damage of any kind other than one very small [less than .5\" sq] area of the black mirror glaze which is missing at a carved relief in the center- see last pic and use zoom, very minor and difficult to notice. No other nicks chips cracks fading or repair. Some light to be expected wear to gold gilt finish on underside of base from floor wear.

VERY heavy, beautifully made piece.
