Antique Tibetan Buddhist stupa made as a devotional shrine in the early-mid 20th century.
This stupa is cast in brass with a gilt finish and fine craftsmanship depicting the stepped square base rising up to the rounded reliquary chamber and topped by a conical spire. In the center is a niche with an image of Buddha. The underside is covered with a thin brass plate stamped with a stylized rosette design typical of Tibetan Buddhist metalwork.
It measures 8" tall by 4" wide by 3.75" deep and weighs 2 lbs.
An excellent old piece from the Himalayas.
