This fine book is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a fine book shop or sale house. We can do that by being a dealer in artwork for over 40 years, better controlling our acquisition costs, keeping commission costs low (if applicable). Finally, we don\'t have the overhead that fine book shops or sale houses have.

Published by the Franklin Library, this is a beautiful, leather bound hardcover edition. Thisbook is one of the 100 Greatest Masterpieces, a limited edition offering. The blank end sheets on the front and back of the book is made of a moire fabric. Raised hub spines.This is the original first limited edition seriesdone by Franklin.Some very minor finish loss to the covers and gilt on the pages.

The book is a limited edition from 1978. Carl Sandburg published, \"Abraham Lincoln The Prairie Years and The War Years\". The book has dark brown covers with a gold gilt design on both the covers and the spine. The book is 1,086 pages in length.

The book was part of a limited edition series, not sure how many were actually issued. The book was issued as part of the Franklin Library Limited Edition series, being the 100 Greatest Masterpieces offering. The spines are ribbed and the smooth cut page edges have a gold gilt. The spine and board is decorated with 22k gold gilt. The book is printed on archival quality paper, decorated end papers, and a satin page ribbon/marker.

The book is in very nice shape. The boards are sharp and the binding is tight. There are no marks in the book and the gilding is clean. No nameplate is affixed or included in these books. Some minor gilt loss on the open side of the pages.

The cloth page markers is still attached in the book. No musty or mildew smell to the book. No marks or owner tags in the book.
