Ancient Roman Or Byzantine Large iridescent Glass Jug, Circa 100BC-200AD , about 2000 Years Old , Museum Quality ?
What makes this one extremely rare is the size, shape and condition. Most found intact are much smaller. The larger ones like this are usually found broken. This is approx 12 inch tall, 9" wide, 3-3/8" deep. Most available are no more than 4-8 inch tall.
I am not an expert on ancient glass, so I do not know any more info. Please research this item to ensure the info is accurate. What I described is info I obtained through my own research and by speaking to an appraiser and antique dealers.
Will make a great addition to any fine ancient item collection.
