Antique 1800\'s Spanish S. Ortega Colonial Silver Dog Head Officers Sword TR1496 For Sale

1800\'s Antique Colonial Spanish Short Sword measuring 27.5\" overall with a straight blade length of 22.75\". Blade shows age patina, wear, some scattered pitting. The handle and guard wiggles some, top of guard is stamped with maker\'s mark, \"S. Ortega\". Not certain what the handle is made of, but is heavy with a dog head pommel. Most likely German Silver or White Brass. Appears to have had a lanyard ring where the dogs mouth is. No Scabbard. A very interesting and well made piece. See photos.
