Antique Early–Mid 1800s Black Glass Bottle – Ocean Recovered off Nova Scotia, Canada
A fascinating antique dark glass bottle believed to date from the early to mid-19th century, circa 1800–1850s.
According to its provenance, this bottle was recovered from the ocean floor off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1998, after spending many decades underwater.
The bottle displays characteristics and imperfections associated with early glass manufacture, including an irregular surface, heavy dark coloration, bubbles/imperfections in the glass and an uneven base.
