Beautiful antique Old Paris porcelain desk inkstand / inkwell, dating to the mid-19th century, circa 1840–1860. This ornate Rococo Revival piece features a vibrant turquoise blue ground, hand-painted multicolor floral bouquets, elaborate scrollwork, and extensive gold gilt decoration.
The inkstand features multiple wells/openings with quill holders and includes the decorative removable center lid. The elaborate sculptural border and richly painted floral decoration make this an impressive example of 19th-century French decorative porcelain.
