An antique 19th-century carbon steel skinning trade knife produced by the Frary Cutlery Co of Bridgeport, Connecticut (operating 1876–1881).
The blade face features a faint, heavily worn arched ribbon banner maker's etch reading "FRARY CUTLERY CO." with a faint partial trademark motif beneath the banner.
Constructed with a dark hardwood handle fitted with a solid metal bolster collar, shield accent, and cap hardware.
