Offered for your consideration is an exquisite pair of hand-blown Rose Amber vases, acquired from a distinguished estate sale sale. Each measures 8 1/2 inches in height with a base just under 3 inches in diameter. In ambient light, they exhibit a gray, opalescent sheen, but when illuminated, they reveal a striking gradient—amber at the base, transitioning seamlessly to a rich cranberry red at the rim, a hallmark of Amberina or Rose Amber glass from the late 19th century. A sticker on the base attributes them to the Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. as “Fireglow” glass—a light-tan glass that glows reddish-brown when lit, often with enamel decoration. They bear whimsical enamel-painted floral motifs and rough pontil marks, affirming their traditional craftsmanship.
