Antique 1890s Olney & Floyd Sugar Corn Label Framed Advertising Original.
DESCRIPTION
Original late-19th-century Olney & & Floyd Sugar Corn advertising case-end or tin-can packing label, dating to approximately the 1890s.
The colorful paper label features a large ear of white sugar corn with green husks against a vivid red background, surrounded by decorative Victorian scrollwork and border designs. It is an attractive example of early American food-packaging and agricultural advertising.
Olney & Floyd operated a vegetable-canning business in Westernville, Oneida County, New York. The company became known for its colorful lithographed labels used on canned vegetables and packing cases during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The original paper label has been attractively displayed with a wide black mat in a wood frame under protective glazing. The frame appears to be considerably newer than the label.
The label has not been removed from the frame, and the reverse cannot be examined. It is being identified based on the visible printing, paper appearance and comparison with documented original examples.

CONDITION
Antique pre-owned condition. The label retains strong red, green, yellow and black color with age toning, scattered marks, small spots and minor surface wear. No major visible tears or large areas of loss were observed through the glazing.
The black mat shows dust, spotting and minor marks. The wooden frame has scratches, finish wear and small signs of age. The glazing has dust, fingerprints and reflections visible in the photographs.
The label has not been removed from the frame. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description.
