Scarce antique S. A. Berry & Co. bottle from 34 Leverett Street, Boston. Aqua-colored glass with raised embossed lettering, “Registered” marking, heavy base and an early wire-bail closure with stopper still present. Believed to date approximately 1885–1905, most likely the 1890s.
A desirable piece of Boston soda, mineral-water and advertising history. The bottle displays attractive bubbles and irregularities associated with early glass production.
Antique condition with surface wear, scratches, interior haze/residue and oxidation throughout the wire closure. The stopper and closure show age-related wear. Please carefully inspect all pictures for exact condition, lip and closure details. No cleaning or restoration has been attempted. Measurements: see pictures. Sold as a collectible display bottle rather than for beverage use.
