Item Description: Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic piece of exposition history: an original porcelain souvenir footed cup from the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition (St. Louis World's Fair).This highly collectible porcelain mug features a detailed color transfer vignette of "The Cascades"—the iconic, illuminated waterfall centerpiece of the fairgrounds.The lower half and back of the cup are decorated in a vibrant, sponge-applied purple/magenta lusterware glaze accented by delicate hand-painted gold floral gilt.The cup sits elegantly on three molded, gold-gilded feet and features an ornate gold-accented handle.
