Used Original antique 1906 postcard published by The Rotograph Co., New York City, titled “The Family Pet.” Features a charming anthropomorphic cat dressed in a bonnet and gown/nightshirt. The card is identified as Series B 1251 and is marked Copyright 1906 by The Rotograph Co. This postcard was postally used in 1907. It is postmarked Houston, Texas, April 10, 1907, with a Yoakum, Texas receiving cancellation dated April 11, 1907. It retains its original green 1cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp.The card has period handwriting on both the front and reverse. The reverse is addressed to a recipient in Yoakum, Texas. Approximate standard postcard size: 3.5” x 5.5”.
